Last night I got the email that changed my entire concert experience. It was from a representative from Sony Music who had found out from an American source that I was part of the Hey Monday Street Team. As I read on, I found out that I was being offered a meet and greet with Hey Monday at the concert. I literally squeed in excitement as I read the email, then realised that it said “I am giving you the opportunity to meet Hey Monday before they get on stage.”
I realised that “before they get on stage” is the exact same time of my meet and greet with Fall Out Boy. I really want to meet both of these amazing bands, so I emailed them about it. I checked my emails pretty regularly over the next day, but because I’m still at school I planned on leaving it until this afternoon. Anyway, while I was in maths today I could feel my phone causing the entire desk to vibrate repeatedly. I hope dearly that nobody would hear it, which luckily no one did.
I went to lunch and immediately recognised the number on the phone. I was lucky they left a voicemail with a number for me to call, so I called back but no one was there.
While I was walking home, I finally got a call back from Nikki at Sony. She told me she got my email and she’d like to organise some times around the Fall Out Boy meet and greet so I’d still be able to meet Hey Monday, which I am extremely thankful for. She told me meet and greet with Hey Monday would be at 6.45, and she’d see how meet and greet in Melbourne went tonight with her FOB and Hey Monday meet and greet-ers so I told her I’d find out what I can about times for FOB meet and greet. No such luck, I found out that I would not be able to go meet Hey Monday anytime near 6.00 because of the Fall Out Boy meet and greet, so know I just have to hope Nikki will let me meet them after the concert. Well that’s pretty much been my main point of worry lately. Let you know how it all pans out,
