Only four days until my one of my dreams is complete..

Success!!! I have finally managed to get my comments section working on this blog!! It only took me two days, reading at least four pages on Disqus and using my parents computer to get it to work in the end.

Well besides that the news on the drum kit I’ve been planning to buy, (if anyone actually reads this..) is pretty bleak. However, it does come with a happier ending even if its not the one I was initially hoping for. Someone bought the drum kit before I had the chance to go check it out. I did ask the seller what exactly he meant by “fair” condition and his answer was a little bit of rust, but still playable. Umm, ok. I’m totally willing to pay 150 dollars on something that’s already rusting. NOT. So instead I have decided to spend the dearer price of just under 300 for a brand new kit with a 1 year warranty because at least I know what condition it’ll be in. I haven’t yet bought one, but I’m planning to over the next few weeks.
The problem now, however, is convincing my mum to let me buy it. She didn’t seem so keen on the idea of me owning something quite as large and as loud as a drum kit, even though I’ve wanted one since I was about 10 years old. She also doesn’t like the fact that I don’t do much with my time already, and thinks that me owning a drum kit would just make this worse. So my job now is to convince her that I can be responsible, and help around the house in order to have permission to use my money to buy my own drum kit.

Besides the drum kit, my main concern right now is the Fall Out Boy concert this Friday. There’s been so many changes to this concert and how things are going to be arranged around it that it’s hard to keep up. A friend and I have been a little anxious about the entire ordeal, especially having to wait in line to pick up our pre-order tickets then get into another line to wait for a meet and greet. I am EXTREMELY thankful to my other friend who has far more experience in this whole business than I do and has done a spectacular job at calming us down and letting us know what the deal is. The only disappointment now is missing out on most of the Hey Monday set because of meet and greet which I’ve been looking forward to for quite some time.

Well I’m in for a quite hectic week: tomorrow I have my orthodontist appointment and work until 9.30 (I actually managed to get out of school because I’ll be getting them tightened - this decision is subject to change), wednesday: hopefully I’ll be catching up with a friend for shopping before the concert - assignment work, thursday: convincing my mum to give me friday off to sleep and to let me buy a drum kit - oh and assignment work, friday: NIGHT OF THE CONCERT, saturday: sleep because i’ll be exhausted - assignment work, sunday: assignment work all morning, work all afternoon.
Well hopefully you take advantage of my comment section I know have successfully running, but try not to be too harsh.
